Ameta - Meta Tag Optimizer
Installation:
After downloading AMeta from our website, one of the mirrors or a shareware site, simply double click on the exe file.
You will then be guided through the installation process a screen at a time.
Options:
Template - Load - Loads information saved in a template.
Template - Save - Saves the current data in a template file so you can quickly load it for manipulation at a later date.
HTML - Import - Imports the Meta Tags from a HTML page on the internet. You must be connected to the internet and the URL of the page must be entered in the "Redirect URL" field. Do not copy Meta Tags that do not belong to you.
HTML - Export - Exports the Meta Tags to a HTML page on your hard disk. It will replace any Meta Tags currently in the page.
Trap Page - Generate - Generates a HTML page using the data that you have entered into Ameta. Before generating a trap page, you should ensure that the "Redirect URL" field points to the first or main page of your website.
Trap Page - Preview - Previews the HTML code for the trap page given the information already entered into Ameta.
Utils - Totals - Shows the total amount of characters that are in each field of Ameata at the current time.
Utils - Preview - Shows a preview of the Meta Tags as they are with the current information that has been entered into Ameta.
Utils - Clear All - Clears all entries into Ameta.
Register - Opens a dialog that allows you to enter your registration details or follow the link to the order page to order the program.
Help - Brings you to this page
Exit - Exit the program. Be sure to save or export your data first.
Keywords - UPPERCASE - Makes all of the keywords UPPERCASE.
Keywords - lowercase - Makes all of the keywords lowercase.
Keywords - First Capitol - Makes the first letter of each keyword a capitol.
Keywords - Reverse - Reverses the order of the currently entered keywords.
Keywords - Randomize - Rearranges the order of the keywords randomly.
Keywords - Clear Keywords - Clears all of the currently entered keywords.
Data Fields:
Title - This field is a short description of your website.
Keywords - These fields should contain keywords that cover the topics of your webpage or website. You can use single words or short phrases in these fields.
Author - This field should contain the authors name.
Copyright Information - This field should contain any information pertaining to the copyright of the page.
Expires - If the page has a date after which the information on the page is no longer valid or expires, then this field should be used to enter details about it.
Redirect URL - This field has 2 purposes. First it is the URL used to obtain Meta Tag information when the "Import HTML" option is used, secondly, when a Trap Page is generated, it is used for the link to your website from that page..
Distribution - Whether your page is local or global.
Robots - Instructions for the various spiders on the internet that may download your webpage. Some to stop them indexing the information and others to encourage them to index the page.
